Anton Christiaan Potgieter

Business Partner

Anton is a born and bred Capetonian. He attended Durbanville High School and matriculated in 2007. He left Cape Town for the North-West University in Potchefstroom (NWU – Pukke) where he completed his Legum Baccalaureus (LLB)(CUM LAUDE) and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Labour Relations and Economics (CUM LAUDE).

In 2014, Anton decided to combine his passions for the labour sector and the law and specialised as a labour attorney. This exciting career led him all over the country working for renowned names like mining company Sibanye-Stillwater, nutraceutical company IPS Health & Wellness and even the Magistrate’s Court.

He has always had a passion for the Human Resources sector and actively partaking in the writing of articles and training, affecting, or associating with this specialty, and eventually the call from the HR-siren was too strong and Anton decided to make the switch from law to Human Resources fulltime. Anton is currently the Group Human Resources Manager for hospitality powerhouse Village N Life, with amazing entities like The Bay Hotel, Pezula Nature Retreat, Harbour House Hotel, The Farmhouse Hotel, Mint and Langaro Spas’ and of course the Business Partner for Career Custodians.

Anton is an avid reader of novels on secret societies, self-proclaimed braai king of Durbanville where he resides, and passionately if not a little delusional, believes his potatobake can bring world peace.

Azeem Ismail

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Azeem is originally from the sunny city of Durban, where he attended Oakridge College. He matriculated in 2009 and then went on to study IT.

He pursued a career in IT as a Data Analyst. In this chosen career path, he leveraged his resilience, agility, and problem-solving skills. Fast forward to 2019, Azeem moved to the Mother City, where he eventually found his passion for Recruitment, specifically Tech Recruitment. He wanted to expand his skillset and in doing so, branched off into general recruitment as well as hospitality, not only because he loves to travel but because he also loves working with people!

He joined Village N Life in July 2024 and is currently the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist.

His recruitment philosophy is plain and simple: “People are not your most important asset. The RIGHT people are.”
He is a diehard Manchester United Fan and enjoys cooking, gaming, and travelling in his spare time.

Her interests and hobbies include hiking, hitting the gym, socializing, spending quality time with my loved ones, and caring for animals. These activities keep her energized and connected to what matters most in life.

With extensive experience in administration and customer service, her career path has shaped her skillset to be geared toward roles that centralize around matching exceptional people with exceptional talent. Her recruitment strategy is to develop meaningful connections and create positive experiences for all her candidates. Kathrine Robinson

Onboarding Specialist

Kathrine, originally from Nelspruit, moved to the city driven by her passion for exceptional service and people. She completed her BCOM Human Resources Degree at North-West University in 2013 and started her career as Human Resources in the hospitality industry where she has gained over 8 years of recruitment experience. Her career history includes industry giants from the medical field all the way to hospitality like PPE Engineering and The Royal Portfolio.

Her hiring philosophy, ‘hire for attitude,’ is especially valuable in the hospitality industry, where exceptional people are key to filling extraordinary roles.

As the Onboarding Specialist, she plays a pivotal role in the recruitment process at Career Custodians, and ensuring a seamless and effective onboarding experience with our clients.

Balance is the key to her life and outside of work you can find her staying active exploring the outdoors, travelling to beautiful destinations or cooking a 5-star meal at home.
