Anton Christiaan Potgieter
Group HR Manager
Anton is a born and bred Capetonian. He attended Durbanville High School and matriculated in 2007. He left Cape Town for the North-West University in Potchefstroom (Pukke) where he completed his Legum Baccalaureus (LLB)(CUM LAUDE) and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Labour Relations and Economics (CUM LAUDE).
In 2014, Anton decided to combine his passions for the labour sector and the law and specialised as a labour attorney. This exciting career led him all over the country working for industry giants like mining company Sibanye-Stillwater, nutraceutical company IPS Health & Wellness and even as a state prosecutor in the Magistrate Court.
Always had a passion for the Human Resources sector and actively partaking in the writing of articles and training, affecting or associating with this specialty, the call from the HR-siren was too strong and Anton decided to make the switch from law to Human resources. Anton is Currently the Group Human Resources Manager for hospitality powerhouse Village N Life, with amazing entities like The Bay Hotel, Pezula Nature Resort, Mint Spa’s & Wellness and of course Career Custodians.
Anton is an avid reader of novels on secret societies, self-proclaimed braai king of Durbanville where he resides, firmly believes his potato bake can bring world peace and proud uncle and godfather to the two naughtiest but most amazing children in the world.
Mauritz du Toit
Financial Manager
Mauritz was born and raised in Cape Town. He attended Oakdale Agricultural High School and matriculated in 2009 and thereafter, studied Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Law at the North-West University in Potchefstroom. In 2016, Mauritz decided to broaden his horizon’s and studied digital marketing to keep up with current trends in business.
Mauritz started his career at Corporate Alliance, an affiliate of Liberty Life. Soon after Mauritz entered the retail sector and worked himself up to group accountant level within 2 years, where he served on financial and human resource levels to the entire group. Mauritz enjoys traveling and outdoor activities, thus the Village n Life group fits like a glove.
